01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Costa Coffee – Skegness is a welcoming café located at 6 Lumley Square, just a stone’s throw from the train station and a short stroll to Skegness’s vibrant beachfront. As part of the renowned Costa Coffee chain, this spot blends familiar warmth with a well-established coffee culture tailored for locals and visitors alike.

Step inside and you’ll notice the café’s slightly worn and dated appearance, hinting at the many busy days it has seen. Yet, this doesn’t detract from the genuine hospitality you experience here. The team prides itself on delivering quick, efficient service while keeping the space tidy and inviting – as highlighted by customers who appreciate the spotless wiping down of surfaces throughout their visit.

The menu offers all the classic Costa favourites, expertly crafted to satisfy every craving. Whether you’re a cappuccino lover, like many regulars who swear by its rich and frothy perfection, or someone indulging in a luscious hot chocolate complete with marshmallows and a flake, each drink is prepared with care and consistency. Though some might find certain items on the pricier side, the quality, and that comforting, well-rounded coffee flavour justify the spend.

Costa Coffee’s two-level layout provides ample seating, including upstairs spaces perfect for relaxing or catching up on some reading. Accessibility is thoughtfully considered with disabled toilets available downstairs, although it’s worth noting that some visitors have found the public restrooms less than pristine.

The café is a dependable retreat when the weather turns chilly—a place to warm up and recharge. Friendly staff, adherence to safety regulations, and a steady flow of customers underline its role as a trusted community hub. Whether you’re waiting for a train, taking a break from beach walks, or simply in need of a coffee fix, Costa Coffee in Skegness delivers that familiar, comforting experience with a smile.

Overall, Costa Coffee at Lumley Square is a dependable choice for coffee aficionados craving consistency and friendly service, with the added charm of a well-loved local spot that stands by its welcoming ethos despite the hustle and bustle of the seaside town.

Didn't do food and to be fair we went in because it was cold and I had a couple of free coffees on the app. The store is dated and shows it does good trade....it's all a bit worn. But don't let this stop you from going in. The usual good coffee, excellent customer service etc. For me it was nice to see how quick and efficient the clearing up and wiping down of both the customers side and barista side of the counters. I'd rather that in a tired establishment, than rubbish in a new or refurbished establishment.

Nice clean place, quite pricy for some items (£10 for two hot chocolates) but the staff are friendly and the products are nice. They give you marshmallows and a flake in a cup for you to eat or top your drink with which was nice. Toilets were disgusting though, very dirty and smelly.

Costa coffee opposite the train station and a short walk from the beach front. On two levels with toilets upstairs and down. Sells all the usual Costa products. Well recommended

Lovely, friendly staff. And professionally made drinks, no mistakes even after my several visits, the only thing that bothers me is the outside area being messy most of the time, and the floor usually being dirty, with a little more attention to the cleanliness, this is definitely a 5 star, I recommend going down there and having a chat, lovely people.
